Osteopathic Physicians (D.O.s) are licensed in all 50 states and perform surgery, delivery babies and are in every speciality. The difference from allopathic physicians (M.D.s) are that D.O.s are trained in another diagnostic tool and treatment modality which utilize your own body's chemistry and structure to facilitate healing from within. If that doesn't seem to work for you, all the other tools are avialable for the D.O. physicians. D.O. and M.D. training are virtually identical. Both require 4 years of postgraduate medical school and a year of internship and follow on residency training. Check out some of the other Osteopathic sites. Here is a start. | Osteopathy >
